Silk Linen Matka

Silk linen matka fabric is 100% silk, 54" wide and has an extremely soft woven texture available in many colors. The silk is created by warping together extracted fibers of silkworm cocoons found in the far east. Once extracted, the silk is spun together by hand without removing sericin from the fibers, which helps to keep the fabric thick while retaining its extremely soft texture. Because of the particular methodology that goes into creating this silk, it is very hard to find and manufacture.

This fabric also features naturally occurring slubs and ridges all throughout its surface. These slubs give the fabric a textured linen-like look but one touch of the fabric reveals a soft and cozy feel. Its medium weight and rustic look come together to create a one-of-a-kind gorgeous fabric.
